Coverage of mares

Breeders know nothing comes overnight – sometimes it’s good to have patience and trust to get on the right track . In 2013, our home-bred 5 -year-old Hnokkadis von Seppensen (now owned by Frauke Schenzel ) was nominated for the 2013 World Championships. Her2014-born foal is currently the highest rated foal in Germany.
The current offspring of our 4-year old stallion Rokkur frá Brimnesi (ein Sohn des legendären und z.Zt. weltweit höchstbewertesten Islandhengstes Spuni frá Vesturkoti) is also counted among our great successes. Being very charitable and with plenty of gaits and charisma all foals were honored by the Breeders’ Association Hannover with the 1st prize. Three of these foals we had previously taken with us spontaneously to the “Foal Travel Niedersachsen”. Two fillies were doing the 8.18 and a colt the 8.03. Thus, all three were declared elite foal.
Many “Seppensen-Born” foals from our offspring have found new owners in 2014 – and even now a lot of nice young horses are already available or in training. Including, inter alia, the little brother of Hnokkadis of Seppensen.
Breeding Iceland horses has been our mission for decades and we dedicate ourselves to this with passion and commitment.
You don’t have to choose between the an ambitious sports horse or the leisure reliable partner for the family. We attach great importance to competition horses who are talented , yet sweet and clear in character.
